In 2 days my team is leaving for Africa. We've been busy packing, cleaning, praying, saying goodbye to the South Africa team which left this morning...it's been an incredible time here in Kona. As we all gathered around the team and prayed for them and sent them off with shouts, fire tunnel, and cheers I felt the bond of family and the excitement of adventures God is taking each one of us. This is an exciting time to be alive.
As my team is leaving I am reminded of the Bible verse in 1. John 4:4 that says that Jesus in us is greater than he who is in the world (Satan). We have the victory! We have the victory over sickness, addictions, hopelessness, loneliness, bondage of every kind... Jesus is the answer to everything. It is the Kingdom of heaven that is here and we have the amazing priviledge of telling people and showing people the Kingdom of heaven. It is a new time, a new era, a new season, where every evil is broken and the dominion of darkness shattered and scattered. Who is like our God?
The army of heaven is coming!
My team is going to be living at Iris Ministries. We will be working with the kids at the mission base for the most part. We will also be going out into the bush bush and bring the message of Christ to them. I will be spending some time teaching kids about God through Bible stories and activities. I am hoping to work with the orphan babies some of whom have HIV/AIDS. Many of them have been healed while they live at the mission base. It is said there is a lot of Joy on this base in Pemba. I can't wait to meet these people and build relationships with them.
I also had a revelation of a Bible passage and I want to share it with you. I am learning to read the Bible with open spiritual eyes and letting God speak to me through it. so here we go...
There is a time for everything and God knows the right times. Mark 11:11 tells of Jesus going into the temple in Jerusalem and seeing what was in the temple, but he didn't stay, he went to Bethany to be with his disciples. It was not until the next day that he went back to Jerusalem and cleared out the temple where people had been using it for the wrong things, not to pray and not to worship, but to buy and sell animals and merchandise. Jesus knew the timing of when to clear out the temple because he always knew what the Father (God) was doing and he obeyed him.
I pray for this kind of relationship with my heavenly Father. I want to do what He does and say what He says. I pray for wisdom and discernment to know what God is doing.
Please pray with me for this trip. My team is going on a 3 day journey to Mozambique starting on Tuesday.
I also still need the money to get the Yellow Fever vaccine in South Africa. The cost is between $150-350. If you'd like to help me with that I would be so happy! You can donate the money into my Paypal account here.
to be continued....

I am so excited for my outreach to begin! Next Tuesday my team is flying through San Francisco, Zurich, and Johannesburg - 3 days to get to Mozambique! God has done so much in me these last few weeks, showing me His love in new ways and giving me fresh insight into His word.
I want to share parts of a poem I wrote last night as I was in the prayer room meditating on God and talking with Him. I had a new awareness of His presence and love and wrote the pictures and feelings I had into words. I believe it's not just an expression of my own experience, but a reflection of God's heart for us.
Your love poured out over me
is more than I asked for
or than I can ever contain
shattering every enemy, every wall
clearing the way like fresh rain
You love me so much your heart doesn't
want to be separated from me
Your heart longs to know me and
talk with me and share with me
Your heart is a deep ocean
wild and free, and it holds me
You are pure and you want my pure devotion
You are like a warrior
fighting through a battle
walking through anything to get to me
Nothing deters or discourages you
You are wild after my heart

I haven't been in my blog for a while! So here are some more stories...
My team is getting ready for outreach in Mozambique in 2 weeks. I am praying for all money to come in, I still need about $1200. We will be living at Iris Ministries in Pemba which is right on the East coast of Africa. The team that was there before us just got back 2 days ago and shared stories with us about the children, the miracles God does...I still don't really know what is coming ahead but it sounds like it will be life changing. We will work in various ministries around the base and outside in the community around the mission. We will go out into the bush on weekends and pray with people, share testimonies, preach the Good News of Jesus, and sleep in tents! There are opportunities for teaching in classrooms during the week, working in the kitchen, prison ministry (the prisoners supposedly are wild God worshipers!!) and building relationships with the kids. We are bringing gifts for the kids and for the workers. Heidi and Roland are getting Kona coffee and chocolate.
here are some stories of my time in Hawaii:
it's been a wild experience to be sure! The teachers and musicians who have come through here have marked my life. One night I went downtown Kona with a group of people from the base. We got out a guitar and worshiped on the street and told people about Jesus. At one point I was standing on the sidewalk with some guys from my group and two girls came walking up the sidewalk. We immediately started talking with them. I had the feeling as if this was a set up from God...and turns out it was! As we started talking with them we had a word of knowledge that one of the girls had ancle problems. We prayed for them and told them that we would listen what God would want us to tell them. This conversation turned out into a time of crazy encounter with God, His presence was so thick. The girls noticed the presence of God and we told them it is the Peace of God and that He is here with us. A long time later, it might have been 2 hours, amazing things had happened: they had both given their lives to Jesus and had come back to the YWAM base to the worship night where they both encountered Holy Spirit and fell on the ground under His power. I don't know if the girl's ancles were healed.
Around this time our school was having spontaneous worship and prayer meetings outside the Banyan Tree cafe under the tree. We have been meeting there still for about a month now. We have seen people have thumbs grow out, legs growing out, shoulders readjusted, backs healed, headaches healed, people prophesying who have never done it in front of people before, you name it...
I have really grown in my relationships with people, especially my team. I have discovered that I have a voice that needs to be heard...talk about a quiet girl who 'lived in the shadows'. Since I've met Jesus, my whole life has changed. I have realized that what I want to say is important even if I feel afraid of being rejected by people or not being heard. I started sharing what's on my heart around the lunch table and found that people were actually blessed! This gave me confidence and reassurance that I can be myself.
I've also discovered that God can move through me even if I'm feeling really really crappy. I've had bad days when I just felt like crawling into my bed and pulling the covers over my head. But as I stepped out I would pray for people or prophecy with God's help. I can still hear his voice even if I'm feeling scared that I won't hear him, I can pray even if I think I have nothing in me to pray, because Holy Spirit would tell me what to say and give me the power to do it!! This is amazing! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)
Prayer points
Financial favour and provision $1200 for outreach to Africa, as well as the monthly $320 I need to pay for bills in Canada
My relationships with my team members, that I will not walk in fear but in love
I am so blessed to know you all, blessings on you in Jesus' name
